Remote Tracking for Live
A downloadable tool for Windows and macOS
RemoteTrackingForLive is a huge time saver, for instance when tracking drums or any instrument on your own, whenever your microphone is not near your desktop pc or mac by turning your phone into a remote control for recording with Ableton Live. Easy access to functions such as play, pause, record, jump to locator, track arm, set tempo, toggle click etc.
It works by integrating with the corresponding mobile app available on the Google Play Store, whereas this server side application for windows or mac accesses Ableton Live and deploys a server in your local network.
You must be using Ableton 11 or up for this app to work.

Install instructions
Please install RemoteTrackingForLive on your Android Phone from the Google Play Store, since it integrates with this application.
After running either the Windows or the Mac OS installer, you will already have the required LiveRPyC library installed. Make sure to restart Ableton Live after the installation has finished and assign LiveRPyC as a control surface in the settings/MIDI.
After setting up, you can find the IP address from your local network in the connect menu after finding the running app in you system's task bar. Use this IP address to set up the connection in your Android App accordingly.
